Patricia Ann Woodruff, 79, of Ellisville passed away Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 at Memorial Hospital System Gulfport in Gulfport. She was born Wednesday, Aug. 2, 1944, in Toxie, Ala.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 9-11 a.m. at Ellisville Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Burial to follow in Ellisville City Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Woodruff Jr.; and parents Willis Earl Jr. and Opal Mae Price Dabbs.

Survivors include her son Clyde Dabbs Woodruff (Mary); daughters Dr. Mary Patrice Dukes (Darren) and Amanda Leigh Woodruff; grandchildren Mary Virginia Woodruff, Rebecca Leigh Woodruff, Laura Dabbs Woodruff, Daniel Walker Dukes, Mark Andrew Dukes and Mary Ann Dukes; sisters Mary Betsy Porter (Harl) and Opal Earline Hull (Phil); brother-in-law Kenneth A. Woodruff (Marie); and sister-in-law Sarah Elizabeth Lloyd.

Pallbearers were Mark Andrew Dukes, Daniel Walker Dukes, Robert Hull, Richard Follis, Ethan Davis and Nolan Graves.

Mrs. Woodruff always put her family first. She was a stay-at-home mother and wife until returning to school at Jones County Junior College.  

After graduation, she did clerical work for the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation for the Blind. Her kindness and compassion for others benefitted many people in the cities where she and her husband, who was in the mental health profession, made their home. 

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ellisville. She supported the local library and was involved in numerous civic organizations, such as Ellisville Garden Club and Fidelia Club. Operation Christmas Child was her favorite charity.
