Emma Stone has been hailed ‘the realest person in the room’ for her reaction to Jimmy Kimmel’s joke about her movie, Poor Things at the Oscars.
The Hollywood star took away the award for Best Actress at the Oscars for the film, which was known for having some very risky scenes. Host Jimmy Kimmel proceeded to make a joke about this, but the lead actress wasn’t impressed.

Poor Things was one of the most successful films on 2023, even with all the Barbenheimer hype, the film still managed to stand out and scoop up countless statues at award shows.
However, before its UK release, producers were forced to ‘re-edit’ some of the scenes, something the actress defended.
Host Jimmy Kimmel thought it would go down well to make a joke about these scenes, as he joked on stage: “Those were all the parts of Poor Things that we’re allowed to show on TV.”
The camera then panned to the 35-year-old, who looked less than impressed, with some speculation she exclaimed: “He’s a p****.”
As the reaction video went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, fans praised the star for the reaction to the joke that went down like a lead balloon.
“She’s the realest person in that theater,” claimed one.
“Emma Stone has never been more attractive than saying ‘he’s such a p****’ about Jimmy Kimmel,” another wrote.
Stone wasn’t the only person the host ‘upset’ with his jokes. He was also slammed for targeting Robert Downey Jr in a joke about his past which upset fans.
The actress becomes a meme
The La La Land actress may have won social media at this year’s annual awards ceremony. From her reaction to Kimmel to her reaction to realizing she was about to miss an award her movie was nominated for, she’s given us memes for days.
Emma was chilling in the lobby between awards, before quickly noticing the award for Best Makeup and Hairstyle was being announced, which Poor Things was nominated for, and won.
Upon realizing this, the actress exclaimed: “Oh my God it’s starting!” as she dramatically ran through the crowd in the lobby in hopes of getting to her seat on time.
